This winter Tone Ranger will be collaborating with The Mystic Santa Fe, playing an intimate monthly show in the High Desert Cafe & Bar. Catch him every second Saturday of the month performing new live electronic music with a host of special guests. These performances are an opportunity to share his evolving new sounds with his hometown. Expect live improvisation, an array of instruments, a roaring fire, warm beats and seasonal cocktails. $10 tickets in advance or $15 day of show.
TONE RANGER
Under his desert moniker Tone Ranger, Alex Simon is known for making infectious dance music that embodies the mysterious beauty of the desert. As a multi-instrumentalist and composer his work is a constant exploration of sound, forever seeking the essence of the places that inspire him. Over the past years his work has taken him to remote landscapes to write music, which he records and produces in Santa Fe at his studio (Animalia Studios). Inspired by the nexus of vibrant cultures in the Southwest he seeks to celebrate the numerous music traditions that have guided his journey.
Alex Simon releases on his own label Animalia Music, he also composes for film and produces other musicians in genres spanning from Neo-Soul to Post Punk.
