Strange Magic

Javier Romero has been writing and recording under the name Strange Magic for over a dozen years in a matter as minimally DIY as one can get away with.

His tuneful Power Pop stylings have been compared to Teenage Fanclub, Big Star, and Elvis Costello.

In 2020 Melatonin Doomsday Blues was listed in Aquarium Drunkard’s Year In Review.

In an earlier life he and his former bands Mistletoe, and Cherry Tempo shared the stage with folks like Beirut, Superdrag, and The Breeders to name a few.

Last year Romero set out to write and record one new song per week which has led to 2023 expecting 4 full-length releases and the debut of a real live act.

The future is bright if you believe in the Magic.

STREET PARKING – Located along Clark Rd between Jackalope and BIG 5 SPORTING GOODS.

* **NOTE: Please do NOT park at the Jackalope parking lot next door. We do not have permission to use that lot and you will be subject to a parking violation, towing or you may lose access to your vehicle when they close the gates in the evening.
